Verified ReviewerI am trying to receive the title information so that I can get my tag put on my car
I would like to know when all of the information that the DMV and myself have sent to them, which should be about seven copies of the same documentation axing for the registration information on my car so that I can receive my tag here in the state of Houston Texas I just need to know if they received it how long it will be before I receive it because my birthday is 1 March my insurance will cancel because I do not have my K here in the state of Texas. Also, there's no insurance on my car that puts me in delinquents which none of this is my fault because I have been trying to receive information every since November 14 , the DMV here in Houston is trying to work it out with me for an extension but I don't know if my insurance company is in Atlanta is willing to work with me, or if State Farm is willing to work with me on some coverage if I knew something or the DMV status of the progress they're willing to help me so that I want to lose my car or my insurance waiting on the registration information.
I have been begging for this since information November. thank you so much BARBARA DAY 706-940-**** cell phone number.

Verified ReviewerIllegial Repo.
Posting this review just because I want to bring attention to how shady they are. This all happened in 2019 and I posted the review then but still think Westlake finical services is a scam company and needs to be investigated.
Due to Westlakes poor record management the repoed my car.
I had a car that I purchased earlier that year from a used car dealership in different state from Westlake. The car dealership had a clean title to the car. Want to emphasize that they had a clean title to the car. Meaning Westlake had no authority to reposes my car.
That didn't stop them.
I financed my car through a local credit union that has no connection to westlake. I was up to date on my car payments. They had not sold the car loan to west state.
That day I walked out to go to go to a friends house and found my car missing. I called the police to report it stolen only to find out it was stolen.
I had to wait until the next day to try and sort the issue out. After visiting with my credit union I found that they did not know what had happened. I contacted the repo company let me know that Westlake had repoed the car. I tried calling westlake multiple times but the subprime customer service didn't believe me and kept hanging up.
The only way I even had this resolved was through contacting the 3rd party company used to initiate the repo. That lady believed me after talking with my credit union as well. She contacted westlake and got the car released back to me. I missed an entire day of work and had to burn PTO.
Horrible company.
I don't care if you have bad credit. Run away from companies like this.
- Bad managment
- Lack of record keeping
- Customer service

Verified Reviewer |Crooked company
They denied me every time I went to them to apply for an auto loan, I called in to confront them after seeing my credit report they had ran my credit more than just the few times of me applying and while on the phone they admitted to running it on some date that I didnt even see on my report!
I recorded both of my phone calls with their representatives, they violated my rights and Im not going to let it go. I will be getting legal enforcement.
They are violating trust law.
By running my credit they become trustee of my UCC Contract trust / Cestui Que Trust, and they have a Fiduciary obligation to do whats beneficial to the beneficiary, but they didnt. They denied me the ability to use my credit to purchase a car.
- Denial denial denial
- Inability to remedy through their representatives
Preferred solution: I would like them to start following the laws, and stop stealing from people’s trust, stop double dipping and denying people their credit! This automated system that checks peoples credit score and send a denial letter is such BS!
User's recommendation: Don’t even waste your time with this company. Doesn’t matter if they say they accept poor credit, or all credit types. Even if you can provide the proof that you can pay the payments after applying in good faith, they will screw you over and tank your credit.

Verified ReviewerWarranty is garbage
Where do I begin with how detestable and ungodly awful this company is through Westlake. So my shady dealer pushed this *** warranty on me and, since I had issues with beamers (fun to drive by terrible to own) in the past, I signed up for this expensive crap.
One, customer service is outsourced immigrants and rude af. Two, they refused to cover anything even though it relates to power train and axel issues. Worse yet, they left me on the hook with a costly diagnostic of $181 that they refuse to reimburse.
I have since cancelled this trash warranty and will be reporting them to consumer affairs. Run far away!

Verified Reviewer |Surplus check
Brittanie Hall
Account #1004****
To whom it may concern,
I have in my possession a letter from the Westlake Financial Service Accounting Department dated as of 12/6/23 stating that my balance has been paid in full and all repossession fees have been credited. A check in the amount of $4,968.24 was supposed to be distributed to me approximately 30 days from the date of the notice ; 12/6/23.
As of today, the company has paid my account in full but has yet to process my surplus amount. I have made multiple calls to both the customer service department as well as accounting and continue to receive the same response; nothing has been processed on their end.
I have since reported to Transunion , Equifax and Experian of the false reporting conducted by this financial institution as well as this surplus letter with the unfulfilled legal obligation. If further is not taken, as requested through the credit bureaus a formal complaint will be submitted to CFPB, Lexis Nexis, Core Logic, ARS and Innovis.
- Inability to remedy through their representatives
Preferred solution: The surplus check that was agreed upon

Verified ReviewerUnprofessional and Rude
Let's run this back, currently reviewing my contract details after seeing a post to see what I can be compensated for. I was never late for a year straight on my car payments.
After I lost my commission rate at my previous employer, I struggled..but still managed to pay my note a little later than usual, just by 10 days at the maximum. Never had an issue until September 2023. I fell 2 months behind, just TWO! I get it, but I also told this company everything that was going on.
My previous company cut my hours back, so I couldn't get as much as I was before. I am also a single mom of a 1 year old, so funds are beyond tight. I fell ill August of 2023 and was out of work for right at 2 weeks, then lost my job 2 days after coming back from sick leave (UNPAID sick leave). I repeatedly told them (since they call 20+ times a DAY even if you tell them what's up the FIRST call ,expect many more calls regardless) what was going on, how I fell ill and just lost my job and working on getting another job.
They told me many times they would give me an extension and/or put my payment on the backend of my contract. September rolled around, still behind as I was trying to get everything caught up...Rent, phone bill, just everything. Told them the same thing with that payment. Turns out, they did not give me an extension or push it to the backend.
My car payment is only 455/mo. So 2 months is 910, not including the late fees. So, what 1000 give or take a few. They told me the same thing though, "Oh, okay.
We can give you an extension or push it to the backend for you. I will confer with my supervisor for the best option for you" then hung up in my face. Rude as *** about it too. September 2023...This really got me going.
No follow up, no one answering my calls, and couldn't get into my account on the app or website. Walked out on my day off to go get my child and I food... My, mfn, car, is, GONE!!! Called them immediately.
Told this non-English speaking lady everything that is going on. She said, AND I QUOTE, "All of our calls are recorded and I see no record here of any call placed nor any notes in our system. So it seems to me, that a you now want to speak to us because you no longer have your car. Isn't that sad with this generation?
How would you like to make your payment today?" Excuse me?? I told her I'd like to speak to the supervisor, she then proceeded to hang up. HAHA. Okay ma'am.
I called back and got someone else and talked to them what was going on. This time, she's an English speaker. She stated I was 95 days past due. No ma'am.
I am only 60 days past AND it was supposed to be pushed to the back end (like I was told). She argued with me and said I owed $2500 with late fees included. No ma'am. I am not.
I finally got them down to $1500 (they were not going to help any other way and I NEEDED my car). They put the $500 to the back end and I just needed to pay $1000 by the next day. Had to pull a loan out to get my mfn car back. Sad.
To top it off though, it is now October 2023... Just noticed the repo company done f'ed my car up.
My tail light is popping out on my passenger side. Waiting to get off the clock to review my contact terms and finding another company to see about refinancing because this is insane.
Preferred solution: Apology, car fixed, out of the mfn loan
User's recommendation: Run bro, just run.

Verified ReviewerIllegal shady business practices
I wish I would have read the reviews before signing anything with Westlake. A federal/government agency needs to do a deep dive into this companies practices.
All these 5 star bought or employee made up reviews are blatantly obvious because your negative reviews are pretty consistent with your bullying of customers. But do not worry, they will respond to this like they care.
1. The prerecording states that the call will be recorded for "security purposes" - but they immediately hang up if they think you are recording as well. They want the ability to manipulate - because clearly it was stated the call was being recorded.
It does not state by which party? So, if you would like to hear how Westlake's cs reps actually speak to a customer of 4 years - please reach out.
2. When calling customer service to ask a question, you are never given a straight answer. I have several calls where I speak about a previous call made that was noted on my account with 2 or more cs rep's yet when it reached the "manager" that previous call line/note disappeared and I was told the previous employees were mistaken - they had all lied about seeing a phone call on a date.
The say rude things to you. They hang up on you. They DO NOT KNOW customer service unless waiting for your debit card. 3.
My issues? I called 7/28 and made payment arrangements - later that day I made my payment as arranged online. On 8/10, Westlake repossessed my car with $700 being the amount past due (my car payment is $475) on 8/11 and 8/18 they were to take the balance of $700 out of my account. When I called them, the amount to release my car was $1400 - even though my screenshot from the day had $700 past due.
I told them I would have to wait until I got paid at the end of the month to pay. On 8/29 when I called to pay, they amount was almost $1900, even though I was told there was no daily charge. Whatever, it was paid and my vehicle released. This is when I called, only to learn that on:
8/17, one week after they repossessed my car for being "60 days passed due" (even thought they took my payment 10 days earlier) my car was cleaned out of all my "personal" belongings, license plate removed, and shipped 3 hours away to an auction.
NOT once was I told this information as they only wanted the money. NOT once was I told my car could be auctioned within 24-48 hours. Your calls are recorded - let's see if the recordings match. I have yet to see if my personal belongings are still mine or picked through.
Because I just found out my car wasn't in the state Westlake took it from.
My cell phone records and conversations can be pulled, my email can be 3rd party scrubbed - just as yours. Your employees condescending attitudes and their sheer ability to never tell you the same information twice and call other employees liars is some Grant Cardone training. When calling about my car after release I was told I received a certified letter of intent on 8/11 - I am still waiting for the manager to call me back with that signature. Westlake made no attempt to contact me after my initial payment arrangement, before stripping my car, before sending it 3 hours away.
They were intentionally trying to cost me more money and inconvenience my life to show me who the boss was and to try to flip my car again. I have 1 year left to pay and the resale has gone up $2k in the last 2 months. The last email I have from Westlake before they repo'd my car- a normal account balance email. I have received no paperwork from them - no reinstatement paperwork after the "repossession/release".
It is very fishy and I am reaching out to other agencies and legal representation. BEWARE - I would have chosen a bus pass.

Same thing happened to me in two dealerships in Northern California. I signed the application as the beneficiary and I was approved by both within two days apart because my car broke down on the way home from Washington state and it took me two weeks to get home after not leaving the car dealership fully approved with no money down because I mentioned a title 15,1605 about insurance being included in the finance charges and that second car dealership sold the car out from u beneath me because it was a Sunday and no insurance companies were open!
I was harmed and my car kept breaking down every hour and it was raining and I had to stay in motels all the way home!
Redding Kia and Redding crown Dodge. They both kept my applications and keep ignoring me when I’ve called them for it back!
Read their prospectus in their 10-k annual filings they admit that they take the receivables and transfer them to other trust which from the services it goes to a issuer than a depositor
