After only being less than a month behind on my truck payment and having a loan with them for two years. My truck just got repoed in the middle of the night.

So instead of my 257 x 2 payment I would have made. I now owe over $1,300 plus I can't get my truck for another 24-48 hours after paying all this money. I have never in my life heard of a company repoing a vehicle for one late payment. They do it for the money.

They do not care about their customers. Never will I get financed though this company again

YOU caused the repo by YOU not making payment on time. Of course, in very typical, sorry deadbeat fashion, it's all their fault...right???

I had bought a car from jd buyrider. They sold the note to westlake financial.

My car is still under a 2 year warranty with jdbuyridrer but they won't honor it. Westlake won't return our calls as to whether they will honor it.

No one will answer or question. Isn't illegal to not honor a warranty?

I don't believe any finance companies honor warranties. That would be between you and the dealer you bought it from. Banks do not carry warranties.

DO NOT USE WESTLAKE FINANCIAL EVER !!!!!!!!!! This is the worse company you could run into !!! They sent me letter stating my car was paid off I sent that to my gap insurance as proof and a statement showing I had a 0 balance. Then a few weeks later sends me a statement stating that I owe 2k ! WTF so this Put my gap insurance picking up anything behind ! They decided to charge me late fees when it their Fault they're late! Someone named rosey says to me every time you call here you're very rude I see it in the notes. Very unprofessional very nasty place .

Let me guess...you are repeatedly late and you want them to "help" you, right? Guess what?

All the times you've been late, you ran up extra interest and late fees for them! This is nothing more than the wailing of still another serial deadbeat!

This is the worst company you can get financed with. There staff is rude , they have no knowledge of anything, and they have no respect for their customers. My car got repoed in the a.m while i was sleep. They literally drug my car out the drive way. There was tire marks going out the driveway. I called the very next morning to get the steps to recover my car. I then contacted the repo company to get their location to get my belongings out the car, such as my i.d debit card etc so i could pay them to get my car. They gave me an appointment never told me the location due to break ins. I called the next morning got placed on hold transferred to two diff people just to get the location . By the time i got the location it was 9:30 i live two cities away from where they took my car. I told the lady there was no way i could get there by ten. She told me that he knew i was coming and would wait. I drive almost. Hour to get my stuff the man who was suppose to be there to open up the repo lit was nowhere to be found. I called the repo service rhey were cery rude told me i had to be there at ten and there was nothing they could do. Mind you they was closed thursday and closed friday. I ended up being transferred to upper management she was very nice at first then it went down hill she told me i wasnt her customer they were westlakes customers. She over talked me wouldnt let me get a word in then hung on me. But this is who they contracted to pick up there cars. I then called westlake because i was able to get the money from a family member to send them so they could start releasing my car. I was given three diff quotes from the morning they took my car. The total went up 50 dollar's every person i talked to i finally talked to frank which was very very rude and nasty i finally was just fed up with rude customer service and asked to speak with a supervisor, she then quoted me a 4th price to pay to get my vehicle release which was a extra 75 more dollars which came out to be $833 my car was 1month and 2 weeks behind in payment which was about 630 all together they did remove the repo fee and put it on the end of the contract thats about all they did. I ended up paying 833.05 and the whole process was just irratating and draining. Bad info , horrible customer service. And all around just a pain in the *** between the repo service and westlake. I would not suggest this company to my worst enemy. They will scam you add on extra money hidden fees. And gice you the run around. And all but two of the reps westlake has that ive spoken to are rude and i will be reporting mr. Frank to better buisness bereua. Do not i repeat do not finance with this company.

Guess what? If YOU would have did what YOU are supposed to do...make your payments on time, YOU wouldn't have caused a repo!

Anytime YOU decide to be a deadbeat and pay late, YOU generate extra interest and late fees. Oh yes, by the way, you can report anybody you want to the BBB because they have ZERO powers to do anything because they are NOT part of any government body.

Do yourself a favor...stop being a serial deadbeat and pay your bills on time.

Car paid off, but won't release title.. Says I owe over $2,000 in late fees

I was told my car pay off was August of 2016... I paid my last payment in August of 2016....

I never received my title.... I received a call from Westlake in September of 2017 saying I owed a charge off $2,000. When I asked how was that possible they told me from deferred payments and late fees....I thought my late fees were tacked on to my next months payment!!!.. Who wait til the end to charge you late fees???.....

Why was I contacted a year later for this?.. I asked them for a letter in writing. They sent it. On the letter it said I could call to make suitable arrangements...

When I tried to do so, I was told that I had to pay the balance in full.....

So now I'm getting contradicting information... This is ridiculous...I'm looking into contacting an attorney

ON JULY 04 2020 I PAID OFF MY VEHICLE I NEVER RECEIVE MY TITLE, I CALL WEST LAKE 20 TIME TO REQUEST A NEW TITLE AND THEY TOLD WAIT 20 DAY , 3 MONTH PASS AND EVERYTIME I CALL THEY GIVE ME DIFERENT INFO . I made all my payments on time and paid my vehicle off in April and was told that I would get the title in the mail in 7-10 business days. It is now June and still no title!!!

I have called them 4 different times today trying to find out what it going on and the issue is still unresolved!! They are giving me the run around and the representative says they are going to put me on a brief hold while they check with title support, at which time I always get hung up on. This is unacceptable!!

I was given a phone number to call for title support which then says that you need your VIN number and a credit card. This is a total SCAM and bad business!!!!

I was sent a letter stating that if I gave up a paid off amount they would consider my account paid I called and made the payment 3 months later I am getting a letter stating I still owe the money and I have another payoff letter I'm now going for legal action.

I currently have this same issue, I admit I have been late making my payments but when I call in my payment I will add the late fee to my payment and they never apply it. I still have a late fee.

they do this to keep your payment from going to the principal and the majority of the money goes to the interest. More money for them!

When you make late payments, you run up extra interest for them in addition to late fees. Its all standard with every auto loan.

LIED WHILE BEING RECORDED (WITH CONSENT)

ONLY WANTED TO BORROW $2,000.00 THE LOAN REPRESENTATIVE TRIED TO STEER ME INTO BORROWING $2,510 AT 108% APR. IT SOUNDED A LITTLE DECEITFUL TO ME.

I TOLD HER THAT THIS CALL IS BEING RECORDED AND SHE CONSENTED. THEN FURTHER STATED THAT THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA BY LAW REQUIRES THAT IT IS MANDATORY THAT ALL TITLE LOANS START AT A MINIMUM OF $2,610. SO THE OPTION OF GETTING ANYTHING LOWER IS NOT AN OPTION. SHE FURTHER ASSURED ME THAT I CAN CHECK GOOGLE TO VERIFY HER CLAIMS.

AFTER CAREFUL CONSIDERATION, I DECLINED TO TAKE THE LOAN AND QUICKLY DISCOVERED THAT SHE LIED.

THE STATE LAW DOES NOT LIMIT INTEREST RATES ON TITLELOANS OF $2500 OR MORE.

I CALLED HER BACK SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE IN MY FACE. YOU KNOW THE DEAL

I have tried to make payments for my truck. westlake financial staff have refused to take payments BY ANY MEANS...My mom gave them a check over the phone for the truck payment.

From that day forward every day my mom said Donna the check has not cleared the bank and west lake never took the money from the bank. after a week of my mom telling me daily. I got a notice saying westlake was charging me 25 dollars for an innsificent fund in the bank. i called west lake and staff said the check bounced.

my mom went down to bank of america and staff at the bank said westlake is lying to you, the company never even procced the check for it to clear. This company is Fraudulent and cant be trusted. Westlake staff said they imputed the check in wrong after all of the hassle of making my mom drive to the bank to money gram which they refused a money gram and western union payment as well.

its like they do it on purpose just to take your vehical from you. This company refuses to take payments and is now demanding the total balance due...

Never finance through this conpany. It's best to pay a higher interst rate.

So I had ACH payments set up and they weren't coming out automatically. I didn't know June's payment didn't come out. My payment is due on the 16th of each month. July 1st they came and repoed my car.

Then shipped it to Flint for auction. Now here the 1st fell on a Friday. They're not open on the weekend and Monday was the holiday. So if they give you 3 business days to make a payment before it goes up in auction why was it in Flint Wednesday morning????

Not to mention I made the payment to get my car back and still had to wait another week to get my vehicle.

The supervisor lied and said my car wasn't released and it was.... now I'm still without my car and everyone covering for her.

Yes most of what you said is true they are not in the compassion business. I do have Experience with them I'm on my 2nd vehicle .

after paying my loan on time for 3 yrs and paid it off, I went to get 2nd vehicle.

this is where I found out they never reported anything at all for 3 yrs! Now I'm on 2nd vehicle and I'm still fighting with them to report the 1st vehicle and now its been another year 4 years they refuse to report ! I have contacted credit company's all 3 they insist it is Westlake and only Westlake that is the problem . This is rampant practice with Westlake and a great CLASS ACTION for not or refusing to do credit reporting.

FALSE ADVERTISING , BREACH OF CONTRACT ,DAMAGES in the million's or higher. By not reporting they keep in in their subprime bracket as repeat customers and that's also CRIMINAL-SEE YA IN COURT

Let me guess...you've been habitually late paying, you turned on their collections machine and maybe even had a repo, is that right? Let's see, you can't stand it when their bill collectors call.

They refuse to "help" you...they won't change the due date six times in six months right? Oh yes...in typical serial deadbeat fashion, its all their fault, isn't it? To top things off, you think the BBB has some enforcement powers, right? Guess what, the BBB has you buffaloed too!

The BBB has zero power to do anything. Their only purpose is to SELL their PHONY ratings to any business which wants to buy one!

This finance company has got to have the WORST customer service I have ever experience in m life and I am older than dirt! My spouse financed a vehicle with them before we were married and had to use Westlake Financial due to lack of sufficient credit and it was a two and a half year nightmare with them.

The Interest alone was the highest that the law allows, the phone agents are "GHE-TOW!" Dozens of hidden charges, a "Balloon" payment that was not mentioned anywhere in the contract. I finally ended up getting a loan from my Credit union with a very low Interest rate and paid them off in full; and then it was a nightmare to get the pink slip.

This type of activity should be Illegal, In fact It probably is in most state. Hasta La Vista Westlake!
